This page presents information regarding the US Route 281 project in Red Cloud, Nebraska mainly in the form of videos of snapshots organized by week. This page presents the second quarter of 2026, April through June.
The first video below contains video clips of prep work in June.
The remaining videos contain snapshots of the progress. The videos are organized with the oldest first (at the top) and the most recent at the bottom.
The snapshots are not high resolution videos, just security camera snapshots and a few videos mixed in. The snapshots occur about once an hour.

The early captures were done through cameras that were actually located inside so there often are reflections in the snapshots. On July 6, 2026 I was able to move them outside and eliminate the reflections.
This first video is just 2 days so not as much activity. You can see that they have already torn up the South bound side of the highway.
I believe the following video shows the storm drain part of the project.
The week of 05/17-05/23 had a lot of activity in front of Eagle’s Wings Gallery.
We added a second camera this week.
The two cameras were a little more coordinated this week so some of the video presents the two cameras side by side.
